The University of Cincinnati's Certificate in Jewish Education immerses students in Jewish Education theory and practice, deepening their subject expertise, pedagogical stance, and inquiry approaches. Partnering with the Mandel Teacher Educator Institute, the program prepares students for careers as social studies, humanities, and language arts teachers, as well as middle, high, and elementary school educators. Rooted in educational action research, the program encourages students to explore their own practice and design projects to support their teaching and learning.

Degree Overview:

The University of Cincinnati Certificate in Jewish Education is designed to immerse students in the theory and practice of Jewish Education. It aims to support teachers and educational leaders from diverse settings by:

  • Deepening their subject area expertise
  • Developing their pedagogical stance
  • Building inquiry approaches to their teaching and learning
  • It encourages students to construct questions about their own practice and design projects within their courses that support these questions. The University of Cincinnati partners with the Mandel Teacher Educator Institute (MTEI) to provide a unique educational experience that results in a Graduate Certificate in Jewish Education.
