This module introduces the principles of sustainability with a focus on environmental sustainability. It covers topics such as natural capital, ecosystem services, environmental assessment, and sustainability measurement. Upon successful completion, students gain a comprehensive understanding of the importance of the natural environment in sustainability and can apply various approaches to assess, manage, and protect it.

This module aims to introduce the learner to the principles of sustainability with a focus on one of the three core pillars – environmental sustainability.
Learning Pathway:
Students completing the Introduction to Sustainability and the Natural Environment microcredential, along with CE6046 and can CE6047 gain exemptions from the PG Cert in Sustainability in Enterprise. 16 x 1Hr(s) Lectures 14 x 1Hr(s) Workshops 4 x 1Hr(s) Seminars
Assessment:
Continuous Assessment Details: 200 marks
