Students specialize in areas including biomedical engineering, computer engineering, and electromagnetics and complete a research-oriented program involving a dissertation and coursework. The program is customizable with options for independent study and the use of undergraduate-level courses towards the degree.
مخطط البرنامج
The program focuses on producing graduates who contribute original research and advancements in next-generation electronics and computing. The program offers a highly customizable curriculum specializing in the following areas:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Communications and Signal Processing
- Computer Engineering
- Controls and Robotics
- Electromagnetics and Remote Sensing
- Lasers and Photonics Students pursuing this Ph.D. complete a research-oriented plan of study involving a dissertation and coursework.
Other:
- The program is highly customizable.
- Students must complete a dissertation and coursework.
- Interested applicants should refer to CSU's Graduate and Professional Bulletin and the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department website.
- The program is effective Spring 2017.
- Students may petition their Graduate Committee to approve an “Independent Study” (ECE 795) course to replace three of the required 18 credits of formal course work if they have two or more papers accepted for publication in peer-reviewed journals or peer review conference proceedings.
- A maximum of 6 credits of 400-level undergraduate courses can be used toward the degree. Up to 8 credits at the 400-level are permitted when at least one course is a 4 credit course. Remaining credits must be in 500-level or higher courses.
- Students may take a combination of ECE 699/ECE 799.
