This 6-week online micro-credential develops skills in predicting changes in hydrological systems, focusing on the impact of climate change on water resources. Participants will learn key processes and numerical approaches to assess climate-related change and develop management strategies.

Degree Overview:

This micro-credential, titled "Predicting Change in Hydrologic Systems," is designed for individuals with an undergraduate-level understanding of hydrology who seek to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to predict changes in hydrological systems. The program focuses on the impact of human-induced changes, particularly climate change, on water resources.


Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this micro-credential, participants will be able to:


Teaching:

  • Delivery Mode: Online
  • Duration: 6 weeks
  • Effort: 75 hours, including readings, recorded videos, online workshops, discussions, and assessment tasks.
  • Two weeks are allocated for finalizing assessment submissions after the workshops.
  • Academic Lead: Dr Sarah Bourke
  • Complementary Course: This micro-credential is complemented by GEOSM403.
  • Completion of both micro-credentials can be used as academic credit towards GEOS4499 upon enrollment in the Master of Hydrogeology or Master of Environmental Science at UWA.
  • Cost: $990 inc. GST
