DePaul's Game Programming program provides comprehensive training in the fundamentals of programming, with an emphasis on the interdisciplinary collaboration essential in game development. Students utilize four specialized gaming labs and collaborate with other disciplines in the field. The STEM-designated program prepares graduates for careers in computer gaming and programming, as well as interactive media.

There are four gaming labs available: development and research labs, the game play lab, the augmented reality lab, and the playtest and usability lab. This program is STEM-designated, which can qualify international students to extend their post-graduation stay in the United States.
