Degree Overview:

Objective:

The MS in Microbiology prepares students for professional careers in bacteriology, virology, mycology, immunology, and oncology, working in academic institutions, government agencies, or commercial entities.

Program Description:

This program provides comprehensive training in diverse areas of microbiology, covering aspects like microbial ecology and evolution, geomicrobiology, bacterial physiology and genetics, pathogenesis, metabolic engineering, immunology, vaccine development, and cancer biology. Through hands-on and theoretical training, students gain advanced knowledge of microbes and their impact on human health, environment, and disease. Cutting-edge tools, ranging from nanotechnologies and genomics to computer-based models and satellite imagery, are utilized in research and exploration.
