The Bachelor of Arts in Mathematical Sciences is designed to provide a broad understanding of mathematical concepts and their applications. It offers flexibility for students to pursue various areas in Mathematical Sciences and statistics, including pure math, computational math, applied math, and statistics.

  • Understand differential, integral, and multivariable calculus, and apply them to solve problems.
  • Comprehend vector calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, higher-level algebra, and analysis, and use them to tackle problems.
  • Think critically and analytically, formulating and solving problems.
  • Understand the nature of mathematical proof, including rigorous reasoning based on definitions, axioms, and theorems.

  • Apply knowledge from one branch of mathematics to another and to other disciplines.
