Centennial College's Culinary Skills program is a year-long program that emphasizes culinary skills foundation using local Ontario food products and seasonal cooking. Students learn essential skills such as preparing exquisite menus and dishes inspired by global food trends and flavors, mastering culinary fundamentals, ingredients, and food preparation. The program is taught by industry-leading chef faculty members in culinary labs, including Centennial College's cafe, restaurant, and event center. Upon completion, students obtain industry certifications and can pursue careers as chefs, cooks, food and beverage managers, and more.

The Culinary Skills program is designed to provide students with hands-on training and learning experiences that will ensure they master culinary fundamentals, ingredients, food preparation, and all of the other skills required to enter the exciting culinary industry.


Teaching:

The Culinary Skills program is taught by industry-leading chef faculty members who provide students with hands-on training and learning experiences. The program takes place in culinary labs, including Centennial College's cafe, restaurant, and event center.


Careers:

Upon successful program completion, students will obtain important industry certifications such as Smart Serve, Safe Food Handlers, and CPR, which will increase their employability. Graduates of the Culinary Skills program can pursue careers as chefs, cooks, food and beverage managers, culinary instructors, food stylists, and more.
