Student services
The International Office advises foreign HCU students and HCU students planning to study in another country. We also inform about internship abroad.
Library services
With approximately 76,000 books and magazines, a growing range of electronic journals and e-books, the main task of our library is supplying the HafenCity University with literature and information. It is also open to all citizens of the Hamburg region.
ICT services
Among IT and media for information , rates and contact details of the areas library , IT and Cartography and the city lab .
The DIGITAL WORKSHOP aims to provide training on currently used software to continually improve your personal skills in handling modern digital tools.
Medical services
The health insurance companies can also issue a certificate, which is valid for the duration of your specific course, if the obligation as a student to take out insurance should in the future no longer be applicable due to exceeding the number of course semesters or the age limit or if you are exempt from insurance or have requested to be exempted from the obligation to take out insurance.

The interests of the students are represented at the HCU on different levels. The students in the degree programmes are organised into student representative bodies. At the highest level of the overall university, there is the Student Parliament (StuPa) and the General Student Council (Asta).
