Student services
Student Services provide study guidance and study related support to students and coordinate educational support to students with disabilities, handle admission of students to courses, educate in and manage different study administrative computer systems, administer in- and outgoing students for the university, carry out preventive student health service and issue degree certificates.
Housing services
The International Housing Office (IHO) offers student housing to exchange students and full-degree students that are citizens of countries outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland.
Library services
The University Library (UB) is the largest academic research library in Northern Sweden. It has over 1.3 million volumes and is visited by 3,000 people each day when terms are in session.
ICT services
By signing in using the central authentication service (CAS) username and password, you will get access to a number of web applications such as the learning platform Cambro, the student portal (Portalen), the wireless network, and other. CAS offers so-called 'single-sign-on' (SSO) which means that you sign in once and will then get access to the web applications using CAS.
Medical services
The Student Health Service is available for students* at Umeå University and at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Umeå. At the Student Health Service you gan get support in matters relating to your physical, mental and psychosocial health situation.

Campus life
Umeå University's Campus Umeå is the main campus and is patterned after the American Campus model. Consequently, almost all of the courses and programmes that are taught in English take place on Campus Umeå or at the adjacent University Hospital.
