The Bachelor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program is a six-year program (5 study years + 1 mandatory training) designed to prepare highly skilled pharmacists capable of providing professional pharmaceutical services in various settings. Outline:
The six-year program is structured across ten academic semesters, utilizing a credit-hour system. Fundamental courses are offered in the early years and serve as prerequisites for more advanced courses. The program includes:
- Field Training: 100 hours of field training in private, governmental, and hospital pharmacies are required after the third year (semester 6).
- Elective Courses: A group of elective courses are offered in the final two semesters (semesters 9 and 10) allowing students to tailor their studies to their interests.
- Mandatory Training: A one-year mandatory training period (equivalent to six training modules, 9 months total) is required after the five-year program. This includes four mandatory rotations:
- Drug Tour Rotation
- Pharmacy-Based Rotation
- Clinical Pharmacy Rotation (Adult General Medicine)
- Applied Research Project And two elective rotations chosen from:
- Pharmaceutical Product Development
- Quality Management in the Pharmaceutical Industry
- Pharmaceutical Production
- Pharmaceutical Sales & Marketing

The program is designed to meet the needs of the labor market. The Academy may reject any student without stating reasons. The number of students accepted each semester is determined by AASTMT before the start of each semester, according to policies set by the Supreme Council of Education Affairs. The program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. The PharmD degree is a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare and Medicine, lasting 10 terms with 177 credit hours.

Entry Requirements:
Students must meet the following admission requirements: a. Completion of secondary education certificate or equivalent certificates according to the particular requirements of the college of Pharmacy as specified by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities. b. Meeting the minimum score required to join the college which is announced before the beginning of each semester, in light of the minimum score mandated by AASTMT, as well as the annually announced terms, regulations and qualifying courses per certificate as specified by the Supreme Council of Education Affairs. c. Being physically fit as per stipulated levels. d. Showing good conduct with no dishonoring judicial sentence issued against them. e. Submission of all required admission documents. Additional requirements include:
- Approval of delegating entities in case of student’s delegation from any country or authority.
- Passing admission exams determined by AASTMT.
- Pledging to follow AASTMT rules and regulations. The Academy may reject any student without stating reasons.
- Before the start of each semester (Fall – Spring), AASTMT shall determine the number of students that are to be accepted in the college of Pharmacy. Students are accepted according to admission policies set by the Supreme Council of Education Affairs, after passing admission exams and according to the terms specified prior to admission.
