Degree Overview:
The GBSB Global Bachelor of Business Administration and Digital Innovation with Digital Entrepreneurship in Barcelona is a three-year intensive program designed for aspiring entrepreneurs and future business leaders. Its objective is to equip graduates with the skills to address modern societal challenges through innovative solutions. The program uses real business concepts from Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America to frame business ideas, problems, and solutions. Students gain expertise in planning, innovation, and business sustainability, preparing them for immediate entry into the business world. A unique aspect is the opportunity to join the school's Entrepreneurship Hub, participate in G-Accelerator activities, receive mentorship, and potentially launch a startup before graduation. The program covers topics such as creating new products, understanding global markets, and the dynamics of digital startups. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Business Administration and Digital Innovation with Digital Entrepreneurship degree (180 ECTS, MQF/EQF Level 6).
Outline:
The program is structured across three years (or 4+2 years part-time), each with compulsory and elective modules.
Year 1 (60 ECTS):
Focuses on foundational business knowledge. Compulsory modules include: Global Business Environment (7 ECTS), Business Communication (6 ECTS), Introduction to Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation (7 ECTS), Fundamentals of Marketing in the Digital Era (13 ECTS), Principles of Accounting (7 ECTS), Business Law in a Digital Context (7 ECTS), Business Math and Statistics (13 ECTS). Possible exit awards include an Undergraduate Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration and Digital Innovation.
Year 2 (60 ECTS):
Builds upon the foundation with specialization options. Compulsory modules include: Leadership, Human Resources and Organisation (13 ECTS), Managerial Accounting (6 ECTS), Leadership and Organizational Behavior (6 ECTS), Starting a New Digital Business (7 ECTS), Business Economics (7 ECTS), Business Research Methods (6 ECTS). There are also 14 ECTS of electives across three elective modules (Electives 1, 2, and 3). A possible exit award is an Undergraduate Higher Diploma in Business Administration and Digital Innovation.
Year 3 (60 ECTS):
Focuses on specialization and professional development. Compulsory modules include: Professional and Career Development (6 ECTS), Innovative and Creative Thinking (4 ECTS), Corporate Finance (7 ECTS), Disruptive Technologies for Innovation and Change (13 ECTS), and an Undergraduate Dissertation (15 ECTS). There are also 14 ECTS of electives across three elective modules (Electives 1, 2, and 3). The final qualification is a Bachelor of Business Administration and Digital Innovation (180 ECTS, MQF/EQF Level 6).
List of Electives – Digital Entrepreneurship (45 ECTS):
Students specializing in Digital Entrepreneurship can choose from modules such as: Valuating and Fundraising a Digital Start-up (7 ECTS), E-Commerce Development (7 ECTS), Knowledge Management and Learning Organizations (4 ECTS), Talent Management in the Digital Era (4 ECTS), Design Thinking and Agile Methodology for Innovation (4 ECTS), Social Entrepreneurship (4 ECTS), and a Dissertation in the area of Digital Entrepreneurship (15 ECTS). This specialization also leads to a Bachelor of Business Administration and Digital Innovation with Digital Entrepreneurship degree.
Year 3 Options:
Students have three options for their third year: study abroad at the Malta campus, study online, or stay in Barcelona/Madrid and combine online studies with a Diploma in Applied Business Innovation. All options result in a Bachelor of Business Administration and Digital Innovation (MQF/EQF Level 6) degree.
Teaching:

Entry Requirements:
For admission to the first year of the Bachelor of Business Administration and Digital Innovation program, students should have completed one of the following:
- A/S or A levels at the appropriate level or the Matriculation Certificate Exam with three subject exams with grades of A, B, C, or D;
- International Baccalaureate Diploma with 34 points overall or the IB Diploma with specific achievements in higher/standard level subjects;
- GCSE/IGSCE “O” Levels: five subject exams with grades of A, B, C, or D, and A/S or A Levels: three subject exams with grades of A, B, C, or D;
- AP Program;
- Other high school diploma or equivalent (other education systems). Alternative entry routes are available for applicants who do not meet the standard entry qualifications but have certain skills, experience, and subject knowledge. These are detailed in GBSB Global’s IQA manual within the “Policies for Admission of Transfer Students and Recognition of Prior Learning”. The Admissions Committee may consider applications from suitably qualified students currently attending other universities, applicants who have earned a lower-level award, or applicants who seek admission on the basis of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Language Proficiency Requirements:
Applicants must provide proof of English language proficiency through one of the following:
- English as a native language;
- TOEFL – Minimum score: 213 (computer-based), 79/80 (internet-based), or 550 (paper-based);
- IELTS – Minimum score: 6.0;
- Cambridge ESOL, Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) – Minimum score: C;
- English as the language of instruction during previous studies in the formal education system;
- Pass GBSB Global’s internal English Level Test.
