The Bachelor of Business Administration and Digital Innovation with Digital Communication & PR in Barcelona is a program designed to prepare students for careers in global communication and public relations. The program allows students to concentrate on specific fields of interest while gaining a comprehensive business education with a digital focus. Outline:

The program is a 3-year (2+1 years full-time, 4+ up to 2 years part-time) Bachelor's degree. The structure is divided into three years:

  • Year 1 (60 ECTS): This year is compulsory and includes modules such as Global Business Environment (7 ECTS), Business Communication (6 ECTS), Introduction to Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation (7 ECTS), Fundamentals of Marketing in the Digital Era (13 ECTS), Principles of Accounting (7 ECTS), Business Law in a Digital Context (7 ECTS), Business Math and Statistics (13 ECTS).
  • Possible exit awards include an Undergraduate Certificate in Business Administration and Digital Innovation (32 ECTS, EQF/MQF Level 5) or an Undergraduate Diploma in Business Administration and Digital Innovation (60 ECTS, EQF/MQF Level 5).
  • Year 2 (60 ECTS): This year combines compulsory modules and specialization.
  • Compulsory modules include Leadership, Human Resources and Organisation (13 ECTS), Managerial Accounting (6 ECTS), Leadership and Organizational Behavior (6 ECTS), Starting a New Digital Business (7 ECTS), Business Economics (7 ECTS), Business Research Methods (6 ECTS). Students also choose electives (14 ECTS, 4 ECTS, 7 ECTS). A possible exit award is an Undergraduate Higher Diploma in Business Administration and Digital Innovation (120 ECTS, EQF/MQF Level 5).
  • Year 3 (60 ECTS): This year also combines compulsory and specialization modules.
  • Compulsory modules include Professional and Career Development (6 ECTS), Innovative and Creative Thinking (4 ECTS), Corporate Finance (7 ECTS), Disruptive Technologies for Innovation and Change (13 ECTS), and Undergraduate Dissertation (15 ECTS). Students also choose electives (4 ECTS, 4 ECTS, 7 ECTS). The final qualification is a Bachelor of Business Administration and Digital Innovation (180 ECTS, MQF/EQF Level 6).

List of Electives – Digital Communication & PR (45 ECTS):

Specific electives for the Digital Communication & PR specialization include Digital Branding (7 ECTS), Digital Communication Strategies and Digital Media (4 ECTS), Principles of Public Relations (4 ECTS), Visual Communications for Digital and Offline Channels (7 ECTS), Reputation and Relationship Management in the Digital Era (4 ECTS), Investor Relations (4 ECTS), and Dissertation in the area of Digital Communication & PR (15 ECTS). The final qualification with this specialization is a Bachelor of Business Administration and Digital Innovation with Digital Communication & PR (180 ECTS, MQF/EQF Level 6). Year 3 offers three options: study abroad in Malta, online learning, or staying in Barcelona/Madrid and combining online studies with a Diploma in Applied Business Innovation. Regardless of the option chosen, the awarded degree is a Bachelor of Business Administration and Digital Innovation (MQF/EQF Level 6). Option 3 adds a Diploma in Applied Business Innovation.


Teaching:

The program features industry-expert faculty with professional and practical experience. New undergraduate workshops are constantly added to the curriculum to inspire students and enhance their creativity.

The program is offered in English and has annual intakes in October, January, and April. The GBSB Global Business School in Barcelona is located in the Eixample district.
