The Diploma in Hospitality & Cruise Ship Management is a 2-year program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills for a successful career in the hospitality operations of a cruise ship, and to provide an understanding of life and work onboard. It covers specialist operational elements such as front office, food and beverage, housekeeping, customer service, effective communication, essential IT skills, and accounting. The curriculum also includes an introduction to the cruise industry's history, players, customers, regulations, and safety and security concerns. A key component is a 20-week internship in a 5-star hotel during the first year, followed by the possibility of a cruise ship placement in the second year.
