The International Master in Project Management is structured around four pillars: Real link with companies (Business Practice LAB, company visits, in-class exercises, exclusive lecturers); Internationality (international faculty, bootcamps in Silicon Valley, Barcelona, Paris, Rome, and Tuscany); Professional Impact (Career Service, company meetings, company shadowing, individual coaching, soft skills program); and Higher Purpose (focus on higher purpose in business, CSR, and sustainable business). The program is divided into modules:

  • Module 1: Develop core managerial skills: Covers Managerial Economics, Management Accounting for Decision Making, Business Strategy, Financial Statement Analysis, Project & Operations Management, Marketing: Traditional and Digital, Human Resource Management, and Data Analytics for Managers.
  • This module aims to provide students with the essentials of entrepreneurship, business planning, financial aspects of business decisions, strategic understanding of companies, financial statement analysis, project management, marketing principles, human resource management, and data analysis for effective decision-making.
  • Module 2: Understand the role played by stakeholders in projects and the role of a project leader: Includes Introduction to Project Management (PM Culture, Project Life Cycle, Project Management in organizations), Business Analysis (Business Analysis, Requirements Management), Operational foundations of Project Management (Planning, Execution, Project Portfolio Management, Monitoring and controlling), and Project Management Tools and Techniques (Exploring complexity: application of PM tools and techniques, Exploring Complexity: Risk Management, Use of Project Management Software I & II, Agile methodologies: Kanban and SCRUM).
  • Electives (10%): Students can choose from seven main areas: Next Gen Business (Innovation, AI, and Digital Growth); Global Business Excellence (Industry Business Excellence, International Business, Global Electives with RBS international partner Business Schools, Introduction to preparation for professional certifications).
  • Business in Action (15%): A hands-on lab consisting of two virtual sessions: Session 1 focuses on identifying sources and monitoring global trends, with guest speakers from UN, UNIDO, and ILO; Session 2 explores the impact of global trends on businesses and adaptation strategies.
  • Global Trends Lab (5%): Similar to Business in Action, focusing on global trends.
  • Capstone Project (20%): Students tackle a real-world business challenge, potentially working in groups, developing an internet sales plan, or creating a loyalty program.
  • Examples include case studies from real firms, such as a plan for an Italian gelato business expanding to Senegal. The program also includes a Practice Lab in partnership with NTT DATA, where students apply learned tools and techniques to a real-world project scenario, and training on project management software (ProjectLibre, KanBoard, Noctua Risk, @Risk, Mind Manager, Trello, PMPeople). International Bootcamps are offered in various locations (Silicon Valley, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Tuscany, Lagos, Doha, London, China, Grand Tour Italy, Dublin, Porto) providing immersive business experiences.
