The Foundation T Level: Education & Early Years program at Bradford College prepares students for progression onto the Education and Early Years T Level. The program incorporates the NCFE Cache Level 2 Certificate in Working with Children in Early Years and Primary Settings. This qualification provides learners with the knowledge, understanding, and skills needed to care for and educate children aged 0-11 years. The main progression route is the T Level in Education and Early Years. The course aims to prepare students to become Early Years Educators, working with children from birth to 5 years, and gaining knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. Upon completion, students can continue to the full Childcare and Education T-Level. The course is tailored to individual student needs and supports their educational journey. It includes opportunities to develop skills and understanding in Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid. The program includes national technical outcomes (NTOs) outlining expected student achievements.

The course consists of five core components:
English and Maths:
Support is provided to help students achieve the required grade 4 GCSE in both Maths and English if they don't already possess them.
Work experience preparation:
Students receive mentoring to develop the behaviors, skills, and confidence needed for their industry placement.
Introductory technical skills:
Students prepare for and understand their chosen T-Level pathway.

Entry Requirements:
Minimum grade 3 in either Maths or English Language. Must have a grade 4 or above in the other. Plus 3 other GCSEs at grade 3 or above.
