The Bachelor of Digital Business program at BI Norwegian Business School aims to equip students with the skills to bridge the gap between business and technology, becoming drivers of digital transformation within organizations. The program focuses on combining core business knowledge with technical abilities to create sustainable and valuable organizations. The program also trains students in problem-solving and interdisciplinary collaboration, reflecting the networked and cross-functional nature of modern digital organizations. Students will develop digital innovation skills, digital behavioral skills (including leadership and digital innovation process management), and a broad business foundation encompassing accounting, finance, economics, marketing, organizational behavior, management, and strategic management, as well as innovation, business models, and business development. The program is situated within Norway's strong digital environment, leveraging the country's history of digital innovation and its highly competent digital sector.
Outline:
The three-year Bachelor of Digital Business program is structured across two semesters per year, with exams at the end of each semester. The program structure is updated annually in June. The curriculum includes the following courses, though the content is subject to change:
Year 1 (60 ECTS):
- Autumn: Fundamentals of Accounting and Finance (7.5 ECTS), Organizational Behavior and Leadership (7.5 ECTS), Economics I (7.5 ECTS), Programming and Data Management (7.5 ECTS).
- Spring: Mathematics (7.5 ECTS), Communication in Action: Dialogue and Discourse (7.5 ECTS), Digital Value Creation (7.5 ECTS), Statistics (7.5 ECTS).
Year 2 (60 ECTS):
- Autumn: Low Code Software Development (7.5 ECTS), Business Information Systems (7.5 ECTS), Digital Innovation (7.5 ECTS), Digital Marketing (7.5 ECTS).
- Spring: Basic Financial Management (7.5 ECTS), Marketing Management and Strategy (7.5 ECTS), Electives (15 ECTS) / Internship (15 ECTS) / Exchange (30 ECTS).
Year 3 (60 ECTS):
- Autumn: Electives (30 ECTS) / Electives (15 ECTS) + Internship (15 ECTS) / Exchange (30 ECTS).
