It covers safety conditions in various sectors, such as gas and pressure vessel management, machine safety, welding techniques, laboratory work, electrical hazards, and hazardous waste management. The program leads to the award of the "Experto Universitario en SEGURIDAD EN EL TRABAJO" degree upon successful completion. The specific degree awarded depends on the university where the student enrolls. Specific objectives include understanding risks and preventive measures associated with handling gases and pressure vessels; acquiring an overview of machine and electrical safety and preventive measures; learning welding techniques, associated risks, and control methods; developing toxic and hazardous waste management models; evaluating risks and prevention measures associated with storage operations, particularly petroleum products in confined spaces; and compiling adequate monitoring records in facilities requiring controlled maintenance.

The program has 15 credits and a duration of 6 to 9 months, depending on student dedication. The methodology integrates knowledge and skills acquisition through integrative exercises and project practices. The program is structured into seven chapters: Safety in handling gases and pressure vessels Safety in handling machines and tools Safety in activities and welding techniques Safety in the Laboratory Safety in the Management of toxic and hazardous waste Safety in various circumstances Annex The program first teaches theoretical, conceptual, and historical principles of prevention management, followed by their organizational, social, and technological implementation.
