Successful completion leads to the "Experto Universitario en IMPLEMENTACIÓN DE LA NORMA ISO 14001" degree, awarded by the enrolling university. Specific objectives include familiarizing participants with the steps involved in EMS implementation (from management commitment to auditing and certification), applying theoretical and practical knowledge to optimize EMS performance according to ISO 14000 norms, creating customized templates for procedures related to environmental issues, internal/external communication, and emergency plans, conducting initial environmental assessments, writing an environmental management manual, and understanding the commitment to continuous improvement inherent in EMS.

The ISO 14001 program consists of 10 credits and takes 6-9 months to complete, depending on student dedication. The program structure includes one topic with practical case studies. The course covers theoretical, conceptual, and historical principles of business environmental management and their organizational, social, and technological implementation. The aim is to provide a holistic view of business sustainability. The credit structure (10 credits) is indicative, with credit equivalence varying depending on the university. One ECTS credit equals 10-15 hours.
