The MSc in Project Management program is structured in two stages:

  • Stage 1: Level 7 Diploma in Project Management: This stage consists of mandatory units:
  • Planning, Controlling and Leading a Project (30 credits)
  • Procurement Risk and Contract Management (30 credits)
  • Advanced Project and Logistics Management (20 credits)
  • Advanced Research Methods (20 credits)
  • Stage 2: MSc in Project Management: This stage involves a Dissertation Project (60 credits).
  • Stage 2 is delivered via distance learning from a partner university. The program is 100% online and offered in two durations: 12 months and 18 months.

Assessment:

Assessment is 100% assignment-based. Stage 1 is assessed by LCPS, while Stage 2 (the MSc portion) is assessed by the partner university.


Teaching:

The London College of Professional Studies (LCPS) provides flexible delivery methods including blended learning, online learning, distance learning, and in-class learning. Learners choose their preferred mode of study. Support continues until course completion.


Careers:

Potential career paths after completing the MSc in Project Management include: Operations Project Manager, Project Director, Project Executive, Technical Project Manager, Technical Project Lead, Business Project Lead, and Programme Manager. Starting salaries for project managers range from £22,000 to £26,500, with experienced professionals earning up to £75,000 or more (according to the National Careers Service).
