Program Outline

Degree Overview:

The Doctor of Pharmacy/Master of Science in Organizational Leadership program is a combined degree program offered collaboratively between Western New England University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and College of Business. The program is designed for those interested in the practice of pharmacy in a business environment. Graduates of the program will receive two separate degrees, one in business and one in pharmacy. The program allows students to take advantage of cross credits, where six credits of business coursework can be applied toward the PharmD degree, and nine credits of pharmacy coursework can be applied toward the MS in Organizational Leadership degree. Pursuing both degrees together will save students time and more than $11,000 in tuition.

Other:

The program is accredited by AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Western New England University is the only private institution in western Massachusetts accredited by AACSB International and among fewer than 5% of business schools in the world to hold this accreditation. The MS in Organizational Leadership curriculum offers courses that develop skills in leadership, problem solving, decision making, organizational behavior and theory, leading change, and contemporary issues in leadership. Students will be exposed to theories and best practices for problem solving, decision-making, and research, as well as identify their personal leadership style, strengths, and skills, and use them to impact their work. MS in Organizational Leadership courses are offered online with a fusion of regularly meeting live small-group class sessions via Web conferencing software, and ‘at-your-pace’ learning via Kodiak, Western New England University's online learning management system.
