Orthodontics
The course of orthodontics introduces students to orthodontics as a dental specialty and an understanding of the role it plays in general dentistry. Students gain an understanding of the concept of normal occlusion, malocclusion, craniofacial growth, and the development to foster an understanding of the etiology of orthodontic problems.Pedodontics
The pediatric course focuses on behavior management, pain control, the management of caries and dental anomalies in pediatric patients, together with the basic knowledge and competency to manage pediatric patients in general dental practice. Public health and preventive dentistry aims to introduce students to the concepts of developing the resources, the implementation, and the management of oral health programs for communities. Special emphasis is placed on the incorporation of ethical standards in oral health programs and activities.
