The Polismaker: Value Manager for the Valorization of Urban Settlements and Sustainability is a 2nd Level Specializing Master program designed to equip professionals with the methodological and operational tools needed to evaluate urban transformation alternatives. The program focuses on the complex interplay of urban development and environmental protection, aiming to train interdisciplinary experts capable of managing value within a strategic framework. The program targets individuals involved in urban development and transformation, including civil servants, professionals, project-financing promoters, real estate entrepreneurs, financial and insurance operators, non-profit organizations, and those who operate as "Polis-makers" with expertise in urban land management. The program emphasizes the importance of "existential space" and considers urban settlements of all sizes as both material and immaterial entities. It integrates multiple disciplines to interpret urban phenomena and formulate intervention hypotheses, with a particular focus on the economic assessment of intervention projects, encompassing both private and public property.
Teaching:
The program utilizes a dual training approach, combining frontline and online teaching. The curriculum includes 120 hours of seminars aimed at preparing students for the professional world, followed by practical experience through the development of a single project. Online teaching is managed by the CISE consortium.
