Program Overview
Mathematical Engineering is an interdisciplinary program that combines fundamental physical and engineering knowledge with modern applied mathematics tools. Graduates are well-equipped for careers in R&D, consulting, finance, and research. They can pursue further education in mathematical engineering or other science-related fields.
Program Outline
Degree Overview:
This program is designed for students who need a strong interdisciplinary knowledge base. It provides a solid foundation in basic physical and engineering disciplines, along with modern tools in applied mathematics, including numerical and computational issues and statistical methodologies.
Careers:
Graduates in Mathematical Engineering find employment in R&D divisions of large companies, computational laboratories or software houses, industrial consulting societies, banks and finance companies, and research institutes. Many continue their education with the Master in Mathematical Engineering.
Other:
Graduates may continue their studies with a Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) in Mathematical Engineering. They may also choose other Master of Science programmes or 1st level Specializing Masters, subject to evaluation.
