The Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AMT) program at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic prepares students for careers in aircraft maintenance through internationally and nationally approved training. The program offers diploma, higher diploma, and applied bachelor's degrees, providing a comprehensive foundation in aircraft maintenance techniques, and leading to industry-required licensing. Graduates are well-equipped for various roles in the aviation industry, including aircraft maintenance technicians, mechanics, avionics technicians, and supervisors.

Program Outline

The program provides internationally (approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency-EASA) and nationally approved (Approved by the General Civil Aviation Authority of the UAE GCAA) Ab/Initio training in basic aircraft maintenance technologies. These approvals lead to industry-required licensing. The AMT program offers three levels of study:

  • Two-year Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology: This program provides a foundation in aircraft maintenance technologies.
  • Three-year Higher Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology: This program builds upon the diploma program, providing more advanced knowledge and skills.
  • Applied Bachelor in Aircraft Maintenance Management: This program provides a comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance management principles and practices.
  • The program is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and embeds the requirements of EASA's/GCAA's Ab/Initio training under part 66/CAR 66 Category A1.
