The B.Tech Mechatronics program is a four-year program that integrates mechanical disciplines, electronics, controls, and computers in the design of high-performance systems. It focuses on the design and operation of mechatronics and smart systems, encompassing areas like system modeling and analysis, decision and control theory, sensors and signal conditioning, actuators and power electronics, hardware interfacing, rapid control prototyping, and embedded computing.

Objectives:

The program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to:

• Design and develop mechatronic systems for various applications, including medical, defense, manufacturing, robotics, automotive, and distributed systems.
• Understand the principles of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and control systems.
• Apply advanced software packages like MATLAB®, LabVIEW™, CATIA, LTSpice®, and AutoCAD®.
• Conduct research in the field of Robotics, Virtual Instrumentation, Prosthetics, and Haptics.
• Gain practical experience through industry visits, projects, and hands-on workshops.
• Develop strong communication and teamwork skills.
