Fellowship in Oral and Maxillo - Imam Abdul Rahm

The Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University is a 5-year postgraduate program that trains specialists in treating maxillofacial diseases, performing surgeries, and managing patients with TMJ disorders and tumors. The Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University is a 5-year postgraduate program designed to train specialists in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Objectives:

Perform maxillofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeries.

Perform surgical treatments such as dental extractions and implants under general anesthesia.

The program includes rotations in allied specialties such as Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, General Surgery, Emergency Trauma, Surgical Intensive Care, Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology/ENT, Ophthalmology.
Students are required to complete a research project and submit a manuscript for publication.
Students are enrolled in special 1-hour courses, entitled Directed Study, to provide them with experience in a wide variety of areas related to dental education, teaching and research.
Students are sent for training in areas of specialist interest within oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Students will enroll in the Clinical OMFS course to provide ongoing patient care during the summer months.
