Outline:

The program is structured as a 1-year full-time course, starting in September. (15 credits) It covers cryptographic algorithms, major attacks, and security protocols. (15 credits)

  • Development of Secure Software: This module covers the security analysis and secure development of software-based systems, focusing on secure design, programming, and testing.
  • It requires prior knowledge of software development, programming languages, and tools like IDEs, revision systems, and build systems. (15 credits) It covers incident handling, cyber threat hunting, digital investigation, and real-world case studies. (15 credits)
  • Security of Control and Embedded Systems: This module explores security issues in systems that sense, analyze, and control physical elements, such as autonomous vehicles, traffic management systems, and robotic applications.
  • It addresses the challenges of security breaches in real-time systems and the potential safety consequences. (15 credits)
  • Machine Learning and Adaptive Intelligence: This module covers core technologies underpinning modern AI, including statistical machine learning, probabilistic modeling, and state-of-the-art algorithms.
  • It requires some knowledge of linear algebra, differentiation, and probability. (15 credits) (15 credits)

Dissertation Project:

  • Cybersecurity and AI Dissertation Project: This individual project allows students to choose from a wide range of possibilities within or outside the university.
