Program Overview
This BSc Microbiology program immerses students in the study of microorganisms, emphasizing their role in human health and disease. Through a combination of theoretical and practical modules, students develop a deep understanding of microbiology while enhancing their critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. The program culminates in a third-year research project, preparing graduates for careers in research, healthcare, biotechnology, and related fields.

Assessment:
- Assessed work includes essays, presentations, group work, digital communications, qualitative and experimental reports and formal examinations with results from years two and three contributing to your final degree classification.
Teaching:
- You’ll learn through a balanced mix of lectures, workshops, field work, seminars and tutorials as well as hands-on, practical laboratory sessions, working individually and in small groups.
