Program Overview


The M.Sc. in Medical Imaging is a part-time, 12-month program that provides qualified radiographers with advanced knowledge in medical imaging. The program includes taught modules (60 ECTS) and a research project (30 ECTS), and offers four strands of specialization: Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation Safety and Interventional Radiography. Graduates are eligible for promotion and post-graduation training, enhancing their career prospects.

  • The M.Sc.
  • in Medical Imaging is delivered part-time over 12 continuous months, with lectures every Friday.
  • The taught component of the course (worth 60 ECTS) runs from September-May.
  • From May- August, students eligible to proceed to Masters level programme undertake an independent research project presented in the form of a dissertation.
  • The M.Sc.
  • course consists of taught modules (60 ECTS) and a research project culminataing in a witten thesis (30 ECTS).
