The GradDip in Languages and Image Studies is a graduate-level program designed for students who want to enhance their language skills and develop critical thinking abilities through the analysis of images. It is suitable for students who do not wish to undertake individual research, are unsure of their language learning skills, or prefer to begin their studies in January.

Description:
The program offers a unique blend of language studies and image studies, allowing students to explore both areas simultaneously. Students choose a global language (French, German, Italian, Portuguese, or Spanish) and start at their current level (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced). Some students may choose to study two languages throughout the year. In tandem with language studies, students are introduced to image studies from a multilingual perspective through modules focused on global film, photography, illustration, or art. These modules cover a wide range of media, genres, and languages, drawing on the expertise of School specialists in individual languages and image-related topics.

- The program is offered as a full-time (9 months) or part-time (18 months) option.
- Students take core modules in Language(s) and Image Studies (global film) and choose 3 option modules from a range of other Language and Image Studies modules.
Course Schedule:
- Language study is cumulative and takes place throughout the year.
- Image studies are explored through individual modules, both core and optional.
- All students study film analysis and apply those skills to other image-centered modules.
