Entry Requirements:
- Minimum requirements are a bachelor’s degree at a First or Upper-second level (or equivalent) from a recognized university and English language proficiency, with most successful applicants also having a good master’s degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university.
- There are two main routes to a doctoral project, depending on applicants’ areas of interest and intellectual preferences. Candidates may choose either to:
- lead the development of their own research project in conjunction with and under the guidance of their supervisors;

Language Proficiency Requirements:
- If English is not your first language, you are required to attain a minimum overall standard on a recognized English proficiency test. Your performance should demonstrate proficiency across all sections of the test, and it must have been completed within the two years prior to your start on the Integrated PhD programme.
- IELTS: You will need an International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of at least 7.0 overall. Your scores for reading, writing, listening and speaking must be at least 6.5.
- IELTS alternatives: We also accept other language tests, including PTE Academic, TOEFL. iBT, CPE and CAE.
