About Program
Program Overview
This 4-year degree combines undergraduate and postgraduate study in Modern Languages and Linguistics. You study both linguistics and your chosen languages throughout your degree. You'll spend a year studying abroad in one or two countries, and carry out independent study as part of your Southampton modules. You'll choose at least 2 linguistics modules, and at least 1 language module for each of your chosen languages in years 2, 3 and 4. In year 4, you'll focus on areas of interest you've developed during your studies.
