  • The certificate is a collaboration between the UC School of Social Work and the UC Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCCEDD).
  • The UCCEDD is a partnership program between the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC).
  • The certificate is in response to the growing disability field in Ohio and the U.S., which has led to high employer demand.
  • It can be combined with other UC undergraduate degrees.

Careers:

  • Students will increase their competitiveness for positions in organizations that work for and with individuals with developmental disabilities, including healthcare providers, home-based services, education providers, recreation agencies, and other private and public sector organizations.

  • Admission to the certificate program does not imply admission to any University of Cincinnati degree programs.
