The program is designed for students interested in public policy, community strengthening, advocacy work, and reducing stereotypes and facilitating cultural and racial understanding.

Students who pursue this certificate are interested in sectors of the workforce that revolve around public policy, strengthening communities, developing critical skills that can be used in advocacy work, and those who want to work in reducing stereotypes and facilitating cultural and racial understanding.

- Service Learning (SL) is a specially designed learning experience in which students combine reflection with structured participation in community-based projects to achieve specified learning outcomes as part of an academic course and/or program requirement.
