As a first-year student, you will complete an English assessment and a mathematics placement test if you have not obtained the minimum ACT/SAT score required for exemption. These assessments do not affect your admission; however, the results are essential for your proper placement in classes. You must complete these assessments before you register for English or mathematics courses. As a transfer or transition student, an Academic Advisor will determine if any English or mathematics assessment is necessary due to previous standardized tests (ACT/SAT) or coursework.
