This interdisciplinary Masters program is designed for experienced professionals working with individuals with neuropsychiatric disorders associated with neurodegeneration, brain injury, and other neurological illnesses. The program is also open to psychology and other neuroscience graduates who wish to enhance their academic and clinical skills. It focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of brain pathologies that result in specific alterations of patients' behavior and cognition.

Outline:

The program consists of two introductory modules:

• Brain and Mind (20 credits): This module introduces students to the fundamentals of neuropsychiatry from a clinical and academic perspective.
• Research Methods in Neuropsychiatry (20 credits): This module equips students with the necessary research skills to critically analyze and evaluate research in the field.
The remaining modules focus on specific neuropsychiatric conditions:
• Neurodegenerative Disorders (20 credits): This module explores various neurodegenerative disorders, including dementia and Huntington disease, covering their clinical features, pathophysiology, and management.
• Tourettes Syndrome (10 credits): This module delves into Tourette syndrome, examining its symptoms, causes, and treatment options.
