The Certificate in Medieval Studies offers undergraduates recognition for exploring the multifaceted medieval culture through interdisciplinary coursework. Drawing from various disciplines, the program examines the historical, artistic, literary, and intellectual dimensions of this formative period of Western civilization. All undergraduates, regardless of major, are eligible to participate.

The Certificate in Medieval Studies offers undergraduate students the opportunity to receive recognition for their exploration of the rich diversity of medieval culture. It includes the historical, artistic, literary, and intellectual dimensions of a major formative period of Western civilization. The program is fundamentally interdisciplinary in nature, drawing on course offerings in art history and architecture, Catalan, classics, comparative literature, English, French, Italian, German, history, Japanese, Judaic and Near Eastern studies, philosophy, Portuguese, and Spanish. All undergraduates are eligible, regardless of major.
