Honors Independent Study in Chemistry

Program Overview

The Honors Independent Study program allows students to design and complete an independent study under the guidance of a faculty sponsor. The study requires qualitative and quantitative enrichment, and frequent interaction between the student and instructor. Students must apply for the program with a contract proposal that is reviewed and approved by the Academic Standards Committee of the Faculty Senate's Commonwealth Honors College Council.

This is a stand-alone independent study designed by the student and faculty sponsor that involves frequent interaction between instructor and student. Qualitative and quantitative enrichment must be evident on the proposed contract before consent is given to undertake the study.
