Program Overview
The Master of Occupational Therapy program equips students with the knowledge and skills to work as professional occupational therapists in various settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and community centers. Through practical learning and extensive clinical placements, graduates will be eligible to apply for registration as occupational therapists with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. The program is accredited by the Occupational Therapy Council of Australia and approved by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.

Our Master of Occupational Therapy equips you with the knowledge and skills to provide high-quality healthcare and change lives. Through practical learning and extensive clinical placements, you will learn to work with clients to help them participate fully in life by focusing on their strengths.
Objectives:
The Master of Occupational Therapy is a postgraduate coursework degree with the vision of producing global citizens who take a collaborative, critical and strength-based approach to promoting health, well-being and engagement for people as occupational beings. This will include mastering skills to enable people with disabilities, recovering from injury or with ongoing conditions, to overcome barriers and identifying alternative techniques to do what they want to do.
Program Description:
The program is designed for students who wish to become professional occupational therapists and would like to work as health professionals in a variety of settings. The course is accredited by the Occupational Therapy Council of Australia (Ltd) and approved by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Graduates will be eligible to apply for registration as an occupational therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (OTBA). The course is also approved by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.

Occupational therapists frequently work in teams with other health professionals in a variety of settings such as:
- hospitals
- rehabilitation centres
- private practices
- occupational health providers
- community centres
- schools
- nursing homes and private homes. Within these settings they contribute in a variety of ways such as through early intervention, health promotion, education, consultancy, industry, primary health, environmental design and accessibility, advocacy services, non-government agencies, housing services and palliative care.

- This condensed program includes core units in biomedical sciences and occupational therapy theory and practice, as well as elective units. You will also complete 1,000 hours of clinical and professional fieldwork.
- Students will complete over 1,000 hours of clinical placements, providing the opportunity to apply their knowledge and gain hands-on experience with real clients.
- This course requires you to complete the following number of work hours: 40 hours per week over 25 weeks 1000 Total hours
