The course is designed for registered dentists in Australia seeking specialist recognition and those who are seeking a premier education in dental public health, such as other dental practitioners, international dentists and non-dentally qualified individuals working in oral health/public health.

  • Units of Study: The Master of Dental Public Health is a postgraduate coursework degree that will give you advanced skills in oral health surveillance, policy development, community-based disease prevention, health promotion, research, and optimisation of oral health services and delivery.
  • Graduates from this program who are also registered dentists will be eligible to apply for registration with the Dental Board of Australia as a dental specialist in public health dentistry.
  • You will complete core units in dental health services, population oral health and preventative dentistry, in addition to capstone and research project units.
  • You will also complete elective units as needed to make up the requirements of the course.
  • Handbooks for future years, including for new courses commencing in a future year will progressively be available in November each year.
