Outline:
The Bachelor of Music is an undergraduate liberal studies degree that will enable you to become a broadly educated musician, learning a range of skills in various music and arts-related contexts and professions to prepare you for a career in music. In your chosen program, you will specialise in discipline-specific studies in popular music, film and television, or in the media and tech industry. Core studies also include performance and ensemble practice, music theory and aural skills, and music analysis, history and culture studies. Students in the final year can undertake music specialist project work or honours for further research study. Additionally, students will complete a major and/or minor from the shared pool and any elective units from the Open Learning Environment (OLE) or the shared pool as needed to make up the requirements of the course. Throughout your studies you'll have the opportunity to create, collaborate, perform, record and tour among our talented and passionate community. We offer mentoring by industry leaders in your chosen field, helping you create strong foundations for your career.

- Singer/songwriter
- Digital music composer for theatre, dance, galleries and multimedia
- EDM producer or DJ
- Scoring and arranging for film, TV and other screen-based genres
- Arts administration and management
- Musicologist and/or subject expert
- Roles in museums/libraries (curating, archiving, and preserving instruments, manuscripts, photos, documents, and letters)
