Program Overview


This graduate course in Public International Law and Policy equips students with knowledge and skills for work in international law and policy. It includes a compulsory unit in International Law and a wide range of electives taught by experts from the Sydney Centre for International Law. The course is designed to advance careers in fields such as law, economics, government, and social work, and is also suitable for professionals in diplomacy, global business, and international affairs.

Program Outline

The remaining units of study are selected from a wide range of relevant electives. Join Australia’s largest and most specialised coursework programs in law, with 80 percent of units offered on an intensive basis. Domestic practitioners and international visitors teach 60 percent of the program. Acquire a postgraduate qualification from one of the world’s foremost law schools – ranked 16th in the world in the discipline of law by the QS World University Rankings by Subject, 2023.
