Criminology is the interdisciplinary study of crime, deviance, social control, and the legal system. Key concerns include the nature of crime, how crime is defined, why crimes are committed, and how society responds to criminal behavior. The Criminology major combines knowledge from criminology, policing, sociology, law, and social policy to give you access to knowledge and information about contemporary criminological theory.
