Degree Overview:

The LLM by Research Thesis is a research proposal of a level commensurate with master's study. Students will join a dynamic research environment in which to develop their individual research interests, with access to dedicated facilities, exceptional resources, and expert supervision. They will benefit from becoming part of a thriving staff and student research community and will have the opportunity to receive specialist career development advice and support.


Careers:

A postgraduate law degree will open many doors for graduates, not only in specialized areas of employment, such as law firms, European and intergovernmental and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), but also in academia (with further postgraduate study), the media (journalism and broadcasting), the civil service, and other branches of public service. Graduates from the LLM programs have gone on to work for a range of national and international law firms, as lawyers and as in-house legal counsel for large multinational companies in the UK and abroad, as well as international organizations and NGOs.
