Program Overview
The University of Reading's MLaw program combines Law modules with SQE1 and SQE2 preparation, preparing students to become solicitors. Degree Overview:
The MLaw program at the University of Reading combines globally recognized research and teaching with expertise in professional practice to prepare students for qualification as a solicitor. This program, delivered in partnership with the University of Law, combines the University of Reading's LLB Law with the University of Law's professional SQE1 and SQE2 preparation provision, preparing students to sit the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations (SQE).

Year 4
Teaching:
The program is taught by a team of experts in their field, including barristers who are King's Counsel, and experts in International Law and Commercial Law. The program also provides access to ULaw's bespoke SQE revision app, which allows students to draw on an extensive bank of questions mapped to the SQE syllabus.
Careers:
The MLaw program prepares students for a career as a solicitor, providing the necessary knowledge and skills to practice law and sit the Solicitors Qualifying Exams. The program also provides assistance with CV writing, placement applications, and interview techniques. Graduates have excelled in diverse fields such as accounting, finance, and marketing.
Other:
- The program is eligible for undergraduate loans from the Student Loans Company.
- The cost of the SQE exams themselves is additional to the course fees and not covered by the Student Loan Company.
- 99% of the School of Law's research is of international standing (Research Excellence Framework 2021, combining 4 , 3 and 2 submissions – Law).
