Program Outline
You do not need to have any previous experience of farming. At Writtle College you’ll be based on a rural campus with approximately 130 hectares of arable land, livestock, and a working farm. We need to produce more food to feed a growing global population – and the agricultural industry needs people who can meet that challenge. Your course includes work experience, and a range of field trips including visits to farms, producers and manufacturers. You can expect to spend three days a week in college, plus at least one additional day per week on the work placement element of the course. When you complete this Level 2 Technical Certificate, you’ll be ready to work in the agricultural industry or continue your studies with a Level 3 course.
