This one-day Writtle College course provides hands-on instruction on safely using and maintaining garden equipment like trimmers and mowers. Designed for individuals and businesses with larger gardens, it covers equipment usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Participants can bring in their machines for practical experience, and upon course completion, they receive a Certificate of Attendance.

This one-day course at Writtle College teaches participants how to safely use and maintain garden machinery such as line trimmers, hedgecutters, and rotary mowers. It is designed for small businesses, self-employed individuals, and property owners with larger gardens. Participants are encouraged to bring their own machines in "as used" condition along with operator manuals and any spares for hands-on practice. A Certificate of Attendance will be issued upon completion of the course. The instructor-to-student ratio is 1:8. Participants are advised to bring a packed lunch and any other refreshments.
