Degree Overview:

This degree program, the only BA in Music Technology in the country, has been designed to link creative vision with deep technical understanding. Also, produce projects involving both solo and small group performances, and learn how to document and evaluate your work. Throughout your studies at DMU, emphasis is placed upon gaining practical experience and applying it in professional studios to prepare you for your future career, whether that is within the media and music industries, or striking out on your own as an independent freelance creative.


Careers:

The ability to tailor your degree by choosing from the broad selection of optional modules available to develop your key interests and prepare you for a variety of careers, from a performance artist to a studio engineer, software designer, or composer. During this course you will have the option to complete a work-based placement, an invaluable opportunity to put the skills developed during your degree into practice. This insight into the professional world will build on your knowledge in a real-world setting, preparing you to progress onto your chosen career. Students learn a range of skills in on-location, live, AV and studio production, allowing you to pursue a career in music production, audio engineering, sound design, remixing and mastering, radio, TV or games.
