Objectives:
The PhD program in Aerosol Science aims to train agile experts who can work at the boundaries of disciplines where aerosols play a role. Outline:
Year 1:
- Cohort-based training in aerosol science at the University of Bristol
- Taught program covering:
- Core Aerosol Science (two units, each of 30 credit points)
- Computational and data tools (20 credit points)
- Impact and translation (20 credit points)
- Environment and communication (20 credit points)
- Transdisciplinary and Context-Based Learning (60 credit points)
Year 2 and 3:
- PhD research project
- Placement hosted by the industrial partner supporting the project
Teaching:
- Training provided by academic supervisors from the eight participating universities and partners from industry and government organizations
- Team-based learning approach
